What is course design?
It is arranging the jumps on a cross-country course, or a show jumping course, to provide fair and challenging questions of horse and rider, appropriate to the educational level of both.
Good course design educates horse and rider and provides for fair classification of competition.
Poor design can be dangerous at worst, and uncomfortable at best.
